On the 1st of February 2022, the partners of the BRUD (Building Resilience through integrated Urban Development) project met online for an introductory meeting.
The meeting has gathered its Excellency Mr. Nararzoda Rizo Shodi, mayor of Khorog (Tajikistan) as well as representatives of the European Union, the University Gustave Eiffel (France), Agan Khan (Tajikistan) and Pilot4DEV (Belgium).
The project is funded by the European Union and led by the municipality of Khorog. The University Gustave Eiffel and Agan Khan are the main partners while Pilot4DEV acts as a support partner.
The BRUD project is seeking to build resilience through an integrated urban development in Khorog, Tajikistan. Specifically, the project will focus on:
- [1] Waste management system,
- [2] Resource efficiency and quality of public lighting services,
- [3] Ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction.
After introductory words from each partner, all the partners praised an ambitious project that is raising great expectations and deciced on regular meetings to keep an active coordination/communication and implement the first steps of the project.
